about me
I originally trained as a social worker in the UK, and then later as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I have also undertake additional training in time limited psychotherapy, social work and psychotherapy supervision, and couple psychotherapy. I have also completed training in mentalisation based therapy.
I have a first degree in psychology (BSc), a Masters (MA) in Social Work, a post-graduate diploma in psychodynamic counselling, a post-graduate certificate in time limited psychotherapy, and a Masters (MCliSci) in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
My work experience includes brief and long term psychotherapy in various health service settings for about eleven years I also worked for several years with the New Zealand Aids Foundation in Auckland. In 2017 I moved to Dunedin and work in private practice.
I’m a registered social worker and registered psychotherapist, and a full member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists. I am also an ACC registered provider for both mental injury and sensitive claims for survivors of sexual abuse and trauma.
practice hours
Mainly Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Friday full day including evenings. At other times by appointment.
I am accepting new clients.
duration & cost
My fee is $110 for individuals and $140 for couples, reduced fees are sometimes available by negotiation, and each session is 50 minutes.
